Barnsley - Colchester
Tip : 3+ (over 2.5)
Odd : 1.75
FT : 3:2 WIN!!!
The only match in League One this evening seems like an inevitable
choice when it comes to goals. My feeling is that there will be large
numbers on the scoreboard when the Tykes welcome the U's at Oakwell.
Only two points difference between these two teams, but both are closer
to the relegation zone than the top.
The Reds will try to continue their good run lately (two wins without conceding a goal), and try to ride this wave of confidence. Regarding goals at home, they are in first place with five out of seven games that ended with over 3.5 goals, with average goals per match 4.3. Thrashing Burton Albion in the FA Cup (5-0 last Saturday) will certainly raise the morale of the attackers for another step. In the last three games at home they have scored two or more, so I am confident it will be similar tonight.
On the other side we have Colchester which is a very interesting team when it comes to away games. Namely they have 2.9 average goals per match, which puts them among the leading teams in that category. The last match against Gosport Borough in FA Cup ended 6-3, which tells us that the players are in the mood for fireworks. Since the beginning of the season, they failed to score only in duel with Walsall, otherwise they scored two goals on tough away games such as at Swindon and Preston. With just one defeat in their last five matches in League One, they are hoping to distance from the relegation zone with a win in this match.
Perhaps an obvious statistical bet, but everything except a lot of goals in this meeting would be a surprise for me, because these two teams are simply perfect match for each other.
